Despite the whirlwind that has been sweeping her away since the spring of 2023, Zaho de Sagazan has kept writing and is now set to release an enhanced version of her first album, _La Symphonie des éclairs._ This extended version includes seven intimate and previously unreleased songs charged with an undeniable electro energy. While attentive listeners had already caught the very tragic “_Dernier des voyages”_ during her shows, nothing was yet known of _“L'Envol”_ and its existential impulse, the post-breakup tenderness of “_Est-ce que tu vas bien_?”, the artistic profession of faith on “Ô travers”, the explicit sensuality of “Hab Sex”, or even “Parler l'amour” and lastly “Old Friend” written and recorded with the very one who had given rise to her desire and urgency to make music...Tom Odell. Following another busy year in 2024, the French artist seemed to have little time to get down to writing. With 116 sold-out shows in 2023, her first Zénith arenas in Paris and Nantes and a flurry of summer festivals, on top of two other historic moments forever in our memories: her covers of “Sous le ciel de Paris”, a great classic of Edith Piaf, Yves Montand and Juliette Gréco, during the closing ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, and of Bowie’s “Modern Love” which brought Cannes Film Festival jury president Greta Gerwig to tears. As her unique voice crossed borders, it never ceased to stir crowds and trigger passions. She naturally breezed through sold-out shows in Canada, London, Berlin, Cologne, Amsterdam, New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles. Yet, the Saint-Nazaire native had even more remarkable achievements to add to her name. She became the first artist to win four French Music Awards in a single night – Album of the Year, Best Original Song, Best Female Newcomer, Best Live Newcomer Act. Few emerging artists have been honoured with the prestigious _Ordre des arts_ _et des lettres_ in recognition of their contribution to the arts or received both the jury and audience prizes at the Music Moves Europe Awards created by the European Union.
