Malena Zavala

Malena Zavala is an Argentinian-born artist, producer, and filmmaker, weaving her life between London and Mexico City. Raised in the UK from the age of three, she has always nurtured a deep connection to her Latin roots. A self-taught musician, she recorded her debut album _Aliso_ (2018) in her parents’ garage, guided by YouTube tutorials and countless cups of Yerba Mate. Her music blends dream pop textures with Latin American folk traditions, drawing inspiration from Devendra Banhart, Beach House, and Silvio Rodríguez. The result is a hypnotic, ethereal sound where her haunting voice and swirling guitar lines transport listeners beyond the everyday into a world of intimacy and transcendence. Following _Aliso_ and her acclaimed second album _La Yarará_ (2020), Malena toured extensively across Europe and the UK, and more recently across Latin America with her EP _Pasos De La Luna_ (2023). She has shared stages with Lord Huron, Men I Trust, Blanco White, and Middle Kids, and opened two sold-out shows for Puma Blue at Foro Indie Rocks in Mexico City. In 2025, she returns with a new EP, _MELT_—a tender collection of love songs and the first release on her own label, Paraná Records—marking a new chapter in her exploration of music, visual art, and storytelling.
